Eine meiner ersten freien Strecken nach dem Winter-Lockdown.
Aus den eigenen vier Wänden raus an die Küste Südafrikas.
Inspiration - ein großes Thema im Pandemiejahr 2020. Woher kommt sie? Wohin soll sie? Sehnsucht nach neuen Eindrücken. Nach Austausch und nach Lärm und Fülle.
Doch meist war es still. Oft war da nichts.
Aber Musik hat schon immer geholfen und The Blaze ist in den vergangenen Monaten rauf und runter gelaufen.
Und so kam es, dass ich mich an einem Donnerstagmorgen im Februar am Strand von Kapstadt wiederfand. Und während ich in der Stille die Bilder mit Mousa eingefangen habe, hat plötzlich The Blaze in meinem Kopf begonnen. Die vertrauten Beats, die mich in so vielen Momenten der Leere begleitet haben.
Und aus der Schwere wurde Leichtigkeit. Und hinter dem Berg ging die Sonne auf.
